As the title suggests, what are good platforms, and communities to self publish and ask for reviews of your zine? Zines have a limited reach to begin with, I don’t know anyone who reads them personally but if I did I assume they offer something different from just being a zine.

Are they used for marketing, and where do you share your zines when you publish?

I don’t know what you mean by ‘local’ but I would be happy to join this group. My discord name-tag is Wyrmlit. Hope we can be each others support.

  1. What is your motivation for joining game jams?
  • I don’t want to make games if it’s only an extension of myself, I want to encourage others to try my games and I would like them to make a meaningful difference impact on you.
  1. What are the top three things you get from participating in game jams?
  • Confidence that I can make something by myself with a deadline attached. I don’t like short jams.
  • Creating something personal to me that no one else can make or has made.
  • The ability to meet passionate and talented game developers, artists and creators.
  1. What elements make a good game jam?
  • They do something unique, they aren’t just make x game with x theme.
  • With narrative as an important focus of the jam.
  • Doesn’t box you in too hard, I like to experiment with my ideas or create something I’ve had in mind for a while.
  • They offer some kind of compensation or reward for participating or winning.

Rule Changes:

  • You will be able to submit changes to your game up to 2 weeks after the jam ends. in 2 months
  • You must submit your jam page before the submission deadline. in a month

This is to encourage high quality submissions, allow late-joiners a generous amount of time to work on their games, provide a competitive atmosphere and to form teams. To create a welcoming and supporting network for the jam.

The jam starts in 3 days, go join now.

This is an 18+ Community. You can join the Discord Community and I have created a Reddit Community which will be used to facilitate knowledge and awareness of the Ero Guro movement and allow participants to showcase their art and writing works.

This is a month-long jam that enables freedom of artistic expression.

Goals

Creating higher quality narratives and challenging artists to make something unique instead of stealing already done-to-death ideas.

Creating a community from nothing and hope other people are interested in joining.

Respect viewer’s attention and intelligence without censorship.

If anyone would like to make a game for this game jam, anything goes as long as you are 18+ and it’s a game with a story. Would love to see some Bevy, Godot or other games in different game engines.

If you are interested to make a game yourself then I would be happy to see you give it a go and there is a prize involved.

This is an opportunity to create the game that you want. You can use RPG Maker, RenPy, Godot, or any game engine or framework of your choice. At the end of the day, this jam is suppose to allow you to flex your creative muscles and maybe get others involved as well.

Please be mindful of the rules which are non-restricted by nature. Obvious low quality will not be considered for the prize, as this is about challenging yourself or your team to make something really great or unique.

really impressive that you have many small games in one and the boardgame aspect is really worth exploring, good job on the camera and position navigation
