Hi @inthecure I use Paintshop  Pro (Corel)  which has an aged newspaper artistic effect over the base daytime picture, that I set for 75 years and then tweak age or other settings as looks best  from there. 

This effect seems to work well on outdoor scenes too.

I'll see what I can do but don't hold your breath for the moment.  Covid's affected my family worse than initially thought a month ago.

This .zip file has nine VN backgrounds featuring the same setting at different times of day or weather. All files optimised files at 1920px by 1080px and 72dpi. I'm just getting started on creating VN backgrounds and am planning to create more in the near future, let me know if you have any constructive suggestions about any of this.
