Perfect indie gem:

Thanks! I also made some big updates, and hope to launch it in the Microsoft Store once I can figure out how to sign it properly.

your use of color is great!

Great game, I played it till I got stuck with the reversed block breaking controls. Ping me when you have the next version up!

Remember that most of the people who make it claim "luck" as the most important factor. I find that to be a load of bull, but iterating and learning is all part of it. This game could still be a hit someday if you work out the issues! Good luck!

I got to the decision to dig east or west and didn't know what to do. I live like a worm, I'm not a real doctor, but I am a real worm.

<3

Thanks, I should be able to upload a version that runs on phones once I figure out the balancing issues.

Lmao, these lil guys.

Love the music! The game was a bit too complex for me to pick up quickly. Maybe a meta-progression where you unlock new powers over the course of a few minutes. (And I always like some narrative juice in there too!) Great job!

Great platformer, a few notes: When I play it in full screen on a vertical monitor it goes into some kind of a fit. (This may not be super important because how many people will do that, lol) I would love for you to do something with the size of the character, like scales or teeter-totters that react to your size. Also, some doors might not fit. Also, I wanted to go GIANT MODE and become too big to fit anywhere. The collect noise got a bit repetitive. You could dynamically vary the pitch, or make it play notes from a song to be the BGM! The jumping was really smooth, so nice programming there. I'd love to play with the level creator when it's ready, good work!

Glad you are making this open source. I may make my HTML5 engine the same, since it is so easy to get the code. And a fun project to play. Needs a bit of endgame balance but overall, a fun experience!

Is there a soil yourself card? Because that would be my goto when pitching to a studio exec.

This is a lot to look through but it's full of good stuff. Thanks for sharing!

The little swoosh and bleep for when you swing are a nice touch!

Feel free do DM me directly if you want me to try a new version. Sometimes unless it's a DM I don't see there is something new!

too scary for me!

you have put the rest of us gamedevs to shame with your epic moving square. Good work! I'd like to see some tire tracks rendered behind the logo car!

Been following this one for a while, you could use some full screen art to set the mood a bit before jumping into narrative screens. Something that tells me who the characters are and what motivates them. Still Cool Project!

Nice project! My notes are too ephemeral and chaotic to be tamed by such voodoo, however.

I plan to use these for some of my facebook streams BGM since their copyright system went bonkers on me, lmao. Great work!

What fresh Hell is this? If this game came out when doom was a thing it would have been a mega hit. Get Devolver to give this guy a sack of cash, plzyes.

Hey this looks interesting!

Couple of usability notes: It isn't too clear where the power pills are in the 3d environment without shadows. Mario always drops a shadow below objects so you can place them in 3d. Also, the walls seem a bit strange, like small buildings instead of pac man barriers. It's difficult to see which ones block the character for real. Also, a sizable chunk of the level is just an empty space with no pills or ghosts. Also, the ghosts can go through walls, which really takes a lot of fun away. Finally, the music seems to have a game over sound effect when it loops.

Here's our Gamedev Feedback:

this style is glorious!

Love the art style here!

Here's my feedback to kick off the community saying what they think: GDF UNCUT Racing Life! @racinglifegame (youtube.com)

You gotta put some of those chronenburgs in there Doom Laser!

That warms my heart, sometimes I wonder if sometimes my games are even reaching anyone. I'll add it to the list of things to work on just for you <3

Thank you for this post! I may try to remake the ipad version and make a better mobile version of the game. Sadly ios culls old apps so I may have to tweak it to make it up to current standards. Thank you for showing interest in it. I didn't realize people still wanted to play it. <3

Here is my vid about your game:

Ah that holy thing, hiring a law firm can be its own interesting adventure if its told right.

can you hire a law firm?

lol, I am not good.

This game defeated me, I tried to use skill to beat it, and failed, then I tried to use a scripting system to program in key inputs to do it exactly right, but somehow the commands weren't frame perfect and the result was that sometimes runs would end in failure seemingly at random. Then I tried compositing my hundreds of runs into one video by overlaying them and sadly my computer doesn't have the processing power to combine all the videos and key out the black bits. A complete loss, a game for masochists, total despair, no hope, no life, no.

Fascinating project for someone who is a bit tactless with their words!
