i think the livestream one was much more interesting, sadly part of that is just cus this one can't be made as realistic. uploads aren't gonna be that quick regardless of how they're done, especially with "oh i got the answer let me try it and record it then upload it." but i understand that's all u can do with a game like this so i'm really just talkin to the walls.
i also don't think the ending to this was nearly as interesting; the stream one has a more structured conclusion, with the last room making it obvious where they are and what's about to happen. meanwhile in this one i feel there's not enough context; spoilers below!
spoilers....
like why is there a room full of preserved brains? who's behind this? why'd they, assumably, capture this uploader? or did they capture them? they were prepared to destroy the brains, they must've known already.
i also don't understand why it ends on an error screen, what's the connection between destroying these brains and the feedvid servers?
i feel at least a bit more storytelling would've changed this game massively. it's still a good game with a really neat concept, i love when real life digital media is incorporated into fiction. but i just think more could be done with this one.
only played the demo so far but this is golden, even when i expected a jumpscare they still got me, very well timed! though i'm not sure why it needed my location as it never mentioned it at all (playing in browser so i got a permission popup). was that just cus the full version does use it for something?
overall 10/10, great demo and i can't wait to play the full version :D
the puzzles are super clever! got super stuck on the statues for awhile and thought it was the ending due to the pink one's book saying "the end", may i ask why it says that? it's not the end of the full ritual, so it was misleading me for a bit.
otherwise really good game! the mc is relatable too, for me personally, that touched my heart
