Too fast

What?

Weak puzzle design, block management feels more like a chore than a meaningful action. Chatting is cool though

Good in theory, in practice there are a lot of itchy places, where overall game design could be better - too big field, more telling visuals, etc. Not bad for beginner level

Pretty cool game. Easy to grasp concept, blend of "the i of it" and all the record movement games I've seen before. Difficulty curve could be better, puzzle with 5 inputs is the roadblock - I didn't solve it at the end :(, but, overall, a solid jam entry

I didn't quite got what's going on, tutorial doesn't help as much. Music is nice though

Visuals are top-notch, sound design is on point. Movement though is really difficult to get used to

Presentantion is Ace and Jack out of 21, no questions there.

While main battle mechanic is neat, battles aren't really different from one another. There were one creative moment with Crazy Eights during final battle, where you could kill them until you've got 21 instead of facing Jack every attack, and that was cool, and more strategic moments like this would make the game so much better,

Overall, good jam entry with great presentaion and underwhelming gameplay.

They are impossible to dodge without shoes or pickaxe, that's intentional. Is this good game design? Er... maybe?

Simple and fun, I enjoyed that a lot. Props for voice acting and creative implementation of jam's theme

Tutorial is heavily needed with this one. Game is confusing from gameplay standpoint. As for the presentaion, top notches.

Emotional interactive experience with good presentaion and plot, I enjoyed it a lot. Well done!

Yeah, I should've been less subtle and less convoluted with mimics

Mimics move up and down faster than normal items and howl in higher pitch. Also, if you have item, say, lamp, another lamp on map is a mimic, and all audio receivers which are not protected by chargers are mimics as well

Wow, thanks! Great stream(s) from your side!

Oh, btw. During playtesting on uploaded version I scored around 60k points, almost 3 times more than you did. So there's definetely room for improvement :)

Funny visuals and sound design, I love it. Gameplay loop seems fun, but control scheme is very uncomfortable. Couldn't deal with it for long, otherwise would've been a great game

Weird game. Movement is bizzare, clear conditions are unclear, small height where the player dies is confusing. Say, even two options to expand window size is something I haven't seen yet.

At the same time, idea is creative, character looks nice, music is catchy. I liked this game, even though got confused a bunch of times.

Very fun core idea. Gameplay loop is kinda fun, although smarter teacher AI would be much nicer. Anyway, good jam entry.

Too many bodies are needed sometimes. Killing your character is annoying because of extra button press. It seems like whole game could do without following jam's topic and it would be better.

Color scheme is nice, and so is the plot. Fantasy fills in details

Very cool experience. Visuals are charming, theming is awesome. Nice job

This isn't really much of a game, rather a visual novel or something. Music is nice

Bravo! Insane amount of polish for just three days! Visuals are well put together, music is soothingly cool, main character is fun to control, level design is on point.

Just a small critic, first level is difficult for being an introduction, I almost turned away from the game (good thing I didn't). Apart from that, great game!

Thanks. Yeah, theme is explored slightly, but elegantly. You see, original idea was to change pairs of victory/loss and success/failure into pairs victory/failure and success/loss. And I wanted to do that through those weird "conjoined" mechanics. So-so

Good art, slow player. Liked "story rocks" at the start of the game

Thanks for kind words!

Thanks!

I guess I cracked your body by hurting your eyesight. I can die a happy villian ( •̀ᴗ•́ )و ̑̑

Congrats on your first game!

Well, gotta say, running in circles isn't really fun. You have perfect strategy in this game to guarantee you victory, so it becomes a slow wait with occasional bump into enemies to speed up the clock. Sprites are well done, I can feel the "hauntedness" of hills. Music is short, but sweet.

So, basic gameplay loop is slow and repetitive, Good job on visuals.

Yeah, me too

Really creative idea. While game isn't that well polished, it shines through versatility and amount of content. Additional point for voice acting. Good job!

Insane amount of content and polish for 3 days. Visuals are awesome, sound design is on point.

For critics, amount of different states becomes bit overwhelming, some UI would solve that problem. Jam theme is explored, but in a small way, feels a bit like cheating.

Still, one of the best games in this jam. Polished, fun and creative.

A lot of critic for this one. Player is indistinguishable from the background, movement feels a bit clunky, hearts and coins on green background could've been something like bullets and crossed coins signs. "I don't know about this one, chief"

Unexpectedly short. Core idea is also unexpected, but interesting nonetheless. Aesthetics are minimalistic and good-looking. Sweet.

That was weird. This is a game, that discourages you from playing it, so the smart move is not to play it altogether? Message is unique, but unclear.

Aesthetics are minimalistic and look nice, complementing general idea, movement is fun, creativity is on point. Overall, pretty good exploration of jam theme, I liked it.
