I played through the whole thing! I can't imagine this was easy to make.

I'll give you some constructive criticism. I think a menu system here would have added a lot, and a level select to give the player a sense of how much progress they've made. The big thing I learned after making my first game was to think hard about the controls, because what's intuitive to you might not be for other players. Here I think W to jump is a little odd, and its a bit temperamental. Space to jump and E to pick up objects makes sense to me.  I think some of the puzzles are a little over designed, for example there is one near the end with two lamps, a button, and an orb; the lamps and button are completely unnecessary to solve the puzzle. Ideally each puzzle should teach the player something new; there was a string of puzzles where the flashing orb was introduced in which the exact same solution could be applied to three puzzles in a row.

Your puzzle with the two sticky orbs (in your screen shots) was the best one. It really made you think. The sticky orbs in general were a great idea. I feel you could make a whole game involving just those orbs; you could make a really interesting level with three or four of them. Also the puzzles involving throwing the orb were dope. I think you have some really cool ideas here and you should definitely be proud of this.

This game feels so good to play!  I'm pretty chilled out right now. Very impressed.

Puzzle 10 was the best puzzle in the game, I think as soon as you add more ravens the puzzles get more interesting. Otherwise most of them kind of solve themselves, but maybe that doesn't matter so much with this game as it feels so relaxing?

Oh! Got you.

Hi, thanks for the feedback!

Is the R button not working at all for you? That's interesting to me. This hasn't been an issue for anyone else I know. I'll look into it for sure! Is there any more info you can give me or does the R button just do nothing pure and simple?

As for the blue blocks, yes sometimes the height is too low to break them with a charged jump, but this is intentional. All the levels are still possible to solve! I wasn't going to make it easy for you was I.  ;)

Keep going, I know you can figure it out!

Hi all, I've been working on making a small game project over the past four months.  The game is called SLING / SLAM, a puzzle-platformer where the player can stretch and shrink, and also slam into breakable blocks and rotating platforms in order to make a path to reach the exit of each level.  It's my first ever game project and I'm immensely proud of it. Today is the day I release it onto the world, like a proud father sending their kid off to college. I have learnt so much about programming and game design while building SLING / SLAM. Now that it's out there for all to see, I'd would hugely appreciate it if people gave it a try, and I would love to hear any feedback or advice (positive or negative) so that I can learn and make my next game even better!

SLING / SLAM is playable in-browser, not very long (20 levels), and (I think) quite tricky, especially towards the end. If you beat it, you should definitely brag about it to me on twitter (https://twitter.com/Skitcatt). The game is best played with a mouse and keyboard (or a trackpad if you're desperate but this might be awkward).

Good luck, have fun and thanks for your interest!
