i feel like there should be some sort of score counter to add replayability to the game.  at the very least, a timer to show how long the player lasted could improve the game a lot.

also, from what i saw, none of the zombies have any differences besides health. i encountered the normal zombie, the helmet zombie, and the mutant zombie. you could change the zombie's speed, or the amount of damage it does to the house. maybe you could make some zombies target the player instead of the house. all of those things are pretty simple to do and yet add a lot more variation and make the game a little more interesting

all that being said, this is still a very impressive game, and still ends up being fairly fun. good job!

not a bad idea

one mechanic i really like though is sometimes you have to shoot at enemies you cant see, meaning you have to remember their position.  the mouse currently controls aiming, and if it were to control your field of view as well, enemies that youre shooting at would ALWAYS be in view. there would still be some level of having to remember enemy positions but it wouldnt be the exact same.

alternatively, i could make it so you shoot in the direction youre moving (meaning, aiming would be tied to wasd) but that would probably lose a ton of precision, in a game that is more or less precision based

all in all i think moving the field of vision with the mouse is probably the way to go, but ill have to figure something out for the rest of the controls. ill have to mess with it more i guess

thanks for the kind words!!!

good job

dude i specifically told you to NOT look at the sun seriously

thanks pal im planning on maybe releasing a post-jam version at some point

lol yeah its safe

of course!!! another thing i just noticed, you can still move (albeit very slowly) during the death animation

this is really cool!! some things i noticed, though. at the bridge at the end platform where it says your coin count, the rightmost bridge tile is a tiny bit lower than the others. also, jumping on the vertical platform is... weird. sometimes when you jump on it, you jump super high for some reason. speaking of the platforms, i personally feel like having them move based on a cos/sin function would feel smoother. i guess that could just be a design preference tho. anyway, this is still really cool :D

honestly, this game was really charming! i like the art style, although it kinda clashed with the style of the level sometimes. the biggest problem i would say this game has is the collision of the boxes, its pretty weird at times. also, theres no way to restart the level (as far as i know? even if you have a way to die, dying just takes you all the way to the beginning, which is also kinda annoying). other than that, this game was pretty neat!

oh my gaaahh

jjeez loisus!!! no need for the attitude!

this was pretty amazing!!! some of the puzzles were pretty easy, but a few of them were pretty clever.  i also really love the artstyle of this game!

WOW!

it seems to be working. hooray! the new upgrades are nice, btw. you should add text that tells you how many cats you gain per click

the rat still doesnt work for me. also, i dont know if it was doing this before, but i just noticed that buying the rat doesnt actually increase your cps either. good luck on your journey to move the upgrades to the side of the screen.

the rat doesnt seem to be working!! the price increases but the text still says it costs 150
