When it comes to the anticapitalist themes they are most prevalent on the second level through environmental and level mechanical storytelling. I don’t know if it may be to obtuse for ppl to notice haha..
Vaporwave is inherently discussing capitalism through its imagery and soundscapes, and it is something I am trying to utilize thru the game as well. Not just as a visual style. The second level mixes western human civilisation from ancient Greece and 21th century environment and its ideas of infinite growt, and is aiming to portray aspects about launching a career via game mechanics such as the Launch pads and Monopoly Cannon. There is also a room inside the right skyscraper where I take the oppourtunity to poke fun at a certain big video game conglomerate. 🐒

I am aware of the issues regarding the voicelines from the lighted platforms and I will see to it that it will be fixed as soon as possible. Both that they don’t overlap eachother and so that you can replay them 👍👍👍
The pixelated text you mention, is that the subtitles for the voicelines/lighted platforms or text in the game world?
And yes, the themes in regards to fuck capitalism is hopefully more noticable on the second level! So if you do give it another shot that is probably the place where you’ll find the theme more prominent. 🙏 Although that level is also harder than the first hehe…don’t forget that you can press the R-key to instantly respawn at the latest checkpoint!✨🙌
