This was made in Unity, water was a shader. I recommend catlikecoding's tutorials on water shaders :)

i post occasional updates on my Twitter (https://twitter.com/st3bongo), hopefully i'll be back working on it soon

Haven't tested on Mac no, just thought I would export it in case it did work. I imagine that would have something to do with the blackscreens. For the boss bar are you certain you are hitting the critical points on the boss (glowing parts) and doing significant amount of damage?

The glitch of the boat is a classic bug yeah, is fixed for the final game but won't be for the demo unfortunately :(

Thank you! Will check it out when I have time :)

Yep, is only introduced in the second one :)

Thanks for the feedback! Will do what I can :)

Thanks for the feedback :)

My current build has already fixed radar points going off when you go too far, I will look into the other ones though!

Great thank you! Restarting might help, otherwise I will make sure it’s fixed in the final build of the game.

Ah shame to see everyone had that bug. Thought it was just in development build as it seems to be almost random...

That's odd! Can you find the error logs '~/.config/unity3d/Steb/What-Lives-Below/Player.log' and paste them in?

Will do! Or something equivalent to show the player's direction.

You need to extract the whole folder to the same place, not just to .exe.

In the zip file there are some more files (like 'What Lives Below Demo_Data') that need to be in the same folder as the executable.

Hope that helps :)

Sounds like one, do you know your computer specifications?

Thanks for the feedback! I agree with everything you said and will be doing what I can to fix/improve it.

I have plans to almost completely overhaul the mechanics so there will be a lot more decision making during the fights, and less just spam harpoons - repair - spam harpoons.

Yep! :)

Try turning out of the way once you see the light-beam things.

You have to interact with the radar at the controls of the boat to zoom it out, and then you should be able to see where the sea monster is.

Only one spawns and it should be within range of the home island :)

Yep just me

Except the menu music, that was made by a friend :)

What platform are you on (Windows/Mac/Linux)?

Also do you know your PC specs? They could be useful.

Did you try pressing some keys, perhaps the message to do so just didn't come up.

Unity :)

What issue are you having?

Thanks for the info! Will look more into platform differences.

Does anything happen when you run the .exe? Have you made sure to extract everything in the zip folder?

Hey, what platform are you on?

Thanks for all the feedback and ideas! Repairing is definitely something that needs balancing and fixing as it is way too OP in its current state...

You can try update your graphics drivers, worked for some other people. If that doesn’t work try turning the graphics settings to lowest. :)

I’ve heard of something similar, will try and figure it out!

GTX 960 should be fine

I do most dev updates on my Twitter, I have yet to use itch dev logs

If you're talking about what you think you're talking about, when the white towers mean lightning is going to strike there.

You can dodge them by driving your boat elsewhere.

Full Steam release will cost money, not sure how much though yes.

Hey, the game now has a steam page here! :)

The steam page literally just got reviewed! You can wishlist it here!

After you disable the weapons it will chase you and have a weak point in its mouth.

Try using explosive harpoons on the weak looking part of the arches :)

Use the explosive harpoons on the islands around where the bird perches. They should fall on the bird :)

Thank you for the support! It is much appreciated.

I did consider upgrades before, I even had an implementation for a shop where you could buy them, however it made balancing difficult and felt unnecessary.

I may consider another type of upgrades (e.g. pick an upgrade after every boss), I need to do some planning and then I'll see how I feel after that.

There is a download link on this page :)

Just look for the 'Download Now' button.

Thanks for the feedback! Will take all into consideration :)
