It's fun! Worked fine on Mac. I think a timer and some indicator of 30 being the goal would be a nice addition to incentivize optimal play. The tones were strongly melodic. I like the hand drawn aesthetic. Nice jam game :)

Thanks, I hope you had fun! ...you monster ;)

Thanks for your thoughtful feedback! The demons are my favorites to fight as well. I agree, not being able to swing up or down makes fighting the eye-worms more tricky. I wonder if a having a wider swing arc would help with that? Thanks for playing!

I enjoyed the easy controls and the choice to upgrade either health or damage each level. I wish that there were different types of enemies with different health and different speed; that might help make the gameplay more challenging, forcing the player to choose which robots to focus. I had some technical problems with the game window; I have a super-widescreen monitor, so I was unable to see the bottom lane, so I had to blindly shoot down there every once in a while to make sure I didn't lose. But other than that, it was a fun game! Thanks for making this!

Cool game! I like that the gameplay is so simple while the game is challenging. It took me a while to figure out why I kept restarting; I really like that the chess piece that captures you flashes, but a little bit of motion feedback (i.e. the piece moving towards your character) might help convey exactly what's happening more clearly.

The transformation tiles really spiced things up and are a clever mechanic. If this game had multiple stages, I'd probably introduce them in like the 4th or 5th stage just to smooth out the difficulty curve a little. It took me a little while to figure out what they did because the transformation was subtle and had no animation or sound effect -- the first time transforming from light to dark, I thought that I was under a shadow!

I liked that the music was soothing and did not distract from the game. The melody perfectly suits the game. It got a little repetitive, but perhaps a lengthier loop would have helped with that.

After I beat the game, my only disappointment was that there weren't a couple more levels. Nice work! :)

P.S. Zoe was adorable. I loved seeing her scamper about the board!

Thank you! We spent a lot of effort polishing. You can thank @akbiggs for the excellent enemy design!

this music is amazing. it reminds me of Factory Town. also, it's hilarious we chose the same theme.

I love the level of detail in this game! It really feels like the start of a game I could play for hours. The atmosphere leaves me wanting more. I just wish there was more content...

man so challenging. wish i had a way to rotate the other way. clever idea! timer felt very short for level 1.
