In any artform, when drawing on outdated themes and limitations, it's always exciting when someone goes back and adds something modern to it. This is one of those games.

Ledoux clearly understands what makes GBA-era games as legendary as they are. Expressive art style, entrancing cutscenes, not to mention the masterfully paced story. Ecstatic to see what Ledoux comes up with next!!

Fixed! Sorry about that

What if Oscar Wilde made a graphic adventure game?

This is a fully fleshed out indie point-and-click adventure set in the late 1920s centred around the suicides of three melancholic individuals: a paramour struggling to hide his love in fascist Italy, a famed noblewoman falling back on painkillers to cope with her husband's death, and a doctor-turned-occultist seeking revenge on his bigoted peers.

I've been thoroughly deprived of Gothic horror in video games, and this more than satiated me. Its incredibly dark themes work towards a horrifying yet charming experience that reveals itself in perfect pacing. Regardless of your familiarity with Gothic literature, you'll fall in love with the slow-burn aesthetic this game offers. I cannot wait to see what comes out of Dead Idle Games.

This game is dripping with depth and creativity. Where do all these amazingly original ideas even come from?!
I loved every second of this from start to finish, and I can't wait to see what future games come from this pair. Electrifying stuff.

The first time a free indie game has made me cry. In your face, Deltarune.

This game has put Moltvind on the map for me, and I would without a doubt by the full version of this if you were to expand it. It almost scalds the player for expecting succinct and simple answers to their detective questions; for taking the characters as NPCs. But the premium-quality of the writing makes very clear that these are human beings, not video game characters. Even though I had no control over the protagonist's past, I felt the full guilt of leaving Maria and doubting people in grief. Sara's wrongdoings are my wrongdoings.

Adored the art style and the unique aesthetic! This feels almost like something out of a play, in which the player is a meaningful character in! Good stuff.

A great sense of humour that doesn't take itself too seriously. Finicky controls got on my nerves at time, but this game kept me hooked till the end. Can't wait to see what games you come up with next!

That's great to hear! I'm really looking forward to trying this when the new versions come out.

Linux user here. This game looks awesome and I'm hearing super positive things, but when emulating it with WINE I just get a purple screen.

Indie metroidvanias usually aren't my thing - truly great metroidvanias need a genius in puzzle design - but this demo turned me around. The Weird Fiction story feels really layered and sincere, yet doesn't take itself too seriously. The slow trickle of unique puzzle mechanics was really well done too. I also adore the art style!!!
