I’m Mason Granter, and I’m reaching out to this fantastic community because I’m embarking on an ambitious journey with my game project, Zenithia. As a relatively new game developer, I’m eager to take on a significant challenge and create something truly unique.
A Bit About Me: I’ve previously released one game—a project that started as an arcade racing game but ended up as a driving simulator featuring an open-wheel car and three tracks, completed within a three-month college deadline. This experience gave me valuable insights, but Zenithia represents a much bigger leap for me.
Project Overview:
- Title: Zenithia
- Genre: Third-person adventure and strategy
- Core Features: Card-based gameplay, elemental combat, and immersive exploration
- Current Progress: Player movement, camera systems, city layout, and a “Welcome to Nexa City” sign.
Why This is Ambitious: This project is a significant step up from my previous work, and it involves:
- Complex Gameplay Mechanics: Integrating card-based gameplay and elemental combat.
- Rich World Building: Developing a detailed open-world environment.
- Tight Development Schedule: With 2 years and 5 months remaining, it’s not going to get as much development time as other jam's.
What I Need: I’m looking for collaborators who are excited about taking on a challenging project and can contribute in these areas:
- 3D Artists: To create character models, environments, and animations.
- Game Designers: To help refine gameplay mechanics and level design.
- Writers: To develop engaging narratives, dialogues, and quests.
- Sound Designers: To contribute audio and sound effects.
