The version of the game posted on itch has significant bug where the game's UI breaks if it is not played on a screen that is in a 16:9 aspect ratio. Sorry about that, haven't bothered fixing the bug after posting the game back in 2021.
A quick google search yields that the mac you're using has a screen with an aspect ratio of 16:10. Playing the game in fullscreen in the browser may force a non-16:9 aspect ratio, consequently breaking the game.
Try playing the browser version in non-full screen, it may help, though I'm not completely sure.
Absolutely excellent work. I love how the house on Ash Tree Lane is portrayed!
My only criticism of the game is that having the hide mechanic bound to a button was a bit unnecessary. I got stuck for a while since I initially thought just standing in place would suffice for hiding.
Otherwise all around great work!
It would definitely be a good feature to have, but we overlooked it while developing the game. Currently there are no plans to update YEET as game development is time-consuming and schoolwork takes priority. Sorry to disappoint but keyboard controls will not be supported in the foreseeable future. 😔
Thanks for expressing your interest though. 👍
What is YEET?
YEET is a volatile & surreal multiplayer-experience to be played with 2-4 players! Inspired by titles by titles of frantic local-multiplayer action, YEET aims to deliver competitive rapid-fire gameplay with a casually chaotic twist. Featuring controls so slippery that they'll make you want to yeet your friends controller out of the window, YEET is an ordeal to be remembered!
YEET was a passion project developed by an amateur 4-person-team over the course of 5 months. The first iteration of YEET was developed during a 72-hour game jam, which produced a prototype so fun that the team involved unanimously agreed to continue on YEET to get it into a state worthy of public release. Thus, after working for on YEET for almost half a year, the team is extremely proud of what we have made together and the team feels that YEET is in a good enough state to be released and enjoyed by the public!
