I'm glad you liked it
I ran into some time crunch near the end of the jam, and didn't get to put as much content in it as I wanted... Really glad you enjoyed it regardless! :)
edit: I have been informed that the background is a paid asset.
Hi, I really want to make a splash screen with (a version of) the compo logo. As the logo itself is using a gradient, I am replacing it with a custom made one. That leaves the background.
I really like the background for the logo, and really want to use it for the splash screen. The version on the logo is stretched in a weird way, and is partially covered up by the text.
Is there any chance someone has a clean version of the background art? If yes, is there any chance I can use it?
Thank you in advance!
I'm definitely considering going back to it at some point, but I would have to iron out a few hacks I made in order to finish it on time before doing anything else. And I also just need a break from assembly for a while. But maybe sometime in the future I might continue work on it if I'm in the mood for it.
I'm really glad you like it though :)
Thank you for checking out my project! I just saw your stream earlier, and I am very flattered you liked it! You also found a few bugs I forgot to properly fix, like the level counter... oops! That's where lack of proper testing gets you, I guess!
I am both excited and scared for you to look through my code, but do let me know when you plan on doing that!
I'm looking forward to it, and have fun ;D
FOR ALL THE PEOPLE WHO ARE MOVING TOO FAST TO THE RIGHT, HERE'S HOW TO PATCH IT:
You'll need the Lunar IPS patcher program, the .IPS file linked here and and an original Super Imposter Bros ROM file. Open Lunar IPS and click "Apply IPS patch".
Select the IPS Patch File (click to download), and afterwards select the unmodified Super Imposter Bros file. Once you're done with those steps, the program should say "Patch applied".
Once you've done that, the ROM should be patched, and your movement speed should now be stable, for whatever reason!
Lumpy, if you see this, feel free to publish the patched file yourself, no credit is needed. I'm just happy to help!
Hi there, I got this running on my GameBoy Color using an EZ-flash jr., and the controls seem bugged? Moving right is for some reason super fast and sometimes clip me into the wall, and it doesn't seem intended. It doesn't happen in the Browser version... On BGB it happens in both directions?
The game looks great though, and I'm excited to play it!
