I just lost a game to this same bug! :( My guess is that internally the cards are listed in a hierarchy with Ace at the top above King and the developer forgot to handle the case when Ace is the lowest card in the hierarchy sometimes.

I found a situation which only seems solvable by forfeiting.
In the first draft I took two pickpockets and a desecrate. I used them to take almost all of the kobold's cards. Now, I have a hand that is only shields, pickpockets, and desecrates, and the kobold only has shields and a fishy chest. All I can do is click "end turn" and the kobold also just instantly ends their turn. There should be some sort of mechanism that detects when both the player and the computer only have the option to end their turn and nothing else.
