Alt, my friend. I apologize.
The game is actually a few years old, and it's very clunky. I started this project on f95zone, the forum, and had to let it go after a car accident. A lot in it needed to be done or fixed and it never happened.
I was recently commissioned a side project, within its universe, and that brought me here. Now I plan on returning to BBS2 as soon as Jenny's mini-game (Bobby's Nightshift) is concluded. I expect it to be finished by december.
The main game has a lot of issues, as you can see. Your list nailed most of them. I'll address each individually, but I say to you now that fixing them is my top priority as I return to BBS2.
- No location is working, they were merely put there as placeholders.
- The inventory and money earning/usage was never implemented.
- You're yet unable to increase corruption.
- The tips sucks.
All those things were merely put there to be made functional after a few patches.
The plan is to re-release the game, on a version 1.0, with all those issues saned and on a 1920x1080 scale. Plus Jenny (who's also not there).
If you found the game to have potential, I ask you to stick around. I'll work it out.

I'm releasing the part 1 of a three parts mini-story about Jenny in a couple hours. It was a commissioned work, it got me back into BBS.
Next month I plan to release part 2, and part 3 by december.
Then, I want to re-do the game.
Make it 1920x1080 and add the stuff I meant to add to it a billion years ago (a shop, money, inventory, some extra scenes).
And then launch it as BBS2 v1.0.
If by that time I'm making some cash out of this project once more, this time I might run it thorough. And continue the story with monthly (or so) updates.
But that's 2025 news... we'll see once we get there.
