if you view the game more as a puzzle game then it becomes easier, my tip is look at your collection and if an item says that it helps to complete a collection that means there is a more expensive item that you can get using it
i think there was a secret god which plays out a bit like a free to play mode when you beat all the other gods (they show a little symbol when you beat them) apart from that though there is still the 30 day limit still mostly because without it you probably would continue to survive forever.
