Very Clever.

It is like a 2d pixel one player version of it takes two. I like it.

Only 2 things I can think of. The options screen is a bit unneeded, the controls button could have just been on the main screen.

And a standard thing when it comes to game jam games. "But what if there was more?"

(1 edit)

I had a late start to the game jam due to prior commitments. There was a bit more gameplay planned, but got cut for the time constraints.

The hero is controlled by a very simple state machine. Essentially random inputs with a bit of structure to it. Example if currently moving right it is more likely to stop than to quickly swap to going left. And is overall more likely to move to the right than to the left.

thanks!

Thanks.

In response to your two things:

The text is also blurry on my end, but as it was added in the last hour or so I did not have time to address it.

And there is a little spot where you can yell "help", it was planned for that to alter the AI to head towards the princess more, but that also had to be dropped for the time limit.
