Hi, You can use it however you like, even for commercial projects. no credit is required but is greatly appriciated :)

Hey man! thanks for sharing. I really enjoyed playing the game, it was fun and well-polished, and it was great to slowly amass a huge skeleton army. I got to the 4th area (the castle/library) but my army got so huge it cashed the game, lol. I also loved the custom enemy designs, the vampire and pumpkin guy were great. Apologies for missing your first comment I have not been on itch.io much lately but thanks again for sharing and keep up the awesome work :)

Hey man! Sure, go ahead :) I still don't really understand NFTs, lol but best of luck. And thank you for asking first, I appreciate it :D

Hey, apologies for the late reply. Yes, it is, it's kinda like an add-on for the original, same size, same animations, and also cc-0. Hope that helps.

Hey man, so glad you like the characters :) not me but ) 0x72 who is the original creator of this art style has made a character creator for these characters.  Link below.

Hope this helps and thanks again.

Thank you!

Hey! Thank you so much for sharing this! I'm so happy you found it useful! (That was a lot of bears, lol)

Hey man, so glad you like the art :) and thank you so much for the offer. To be honest with you I'm not really in the game dev/ pixel art space anymore since I've kinda moved into a different line of work. That being said I'm more than happy to chat on discord and to hear more about what you had in mind and maybe we can work something out :)

Hi! You're welcome, I'm glad you found it useful :) In regards to your question about the animations: No, I won't be adding attack animations (sorry about that :/) The reasons being: 1) I'm not really working with pixel art anymore (which I'm kinda sad about) but I've moved on to other things and new projects so I'm not planning on coming back to this one. 2) The reason I didn't add attack animations in the first place was that I was trying to get the sprites to be as close as possible to the originals by 0x72 which don't have attacks either. Since the characters have no arms you can animate weapon swings in your game maker of choice and just attach the weapon to the character (I'm not sure if that would work with every game engine, I use Unity).

Apologies for the long explanation.

tl;dr: I'm really glad you found the art useful :) No, I won't be adding attack animations, sorry :/

Thanks again,

Cheers!

Thank you!

Hey man, I know this is super late by I just wanted to let you know that I did play your game and I really enjoyed it :) The gameplay was great, the story was simple but funny, and it made me smile to see my name in the credits. Well done! I'm glad you found my art useful :)

Cheers!

Hay man, Thank you so much, I'm really glad you like the art. Unfortunately, I only do characters and some objects, I'm not so good with maps, backgrounds, and environments. I'm also kinda in a different line of work now so I don't have so much time to do pixel art :( Apologies that I couldn't be of more help but best of luck with your game!

Hi, Thanks for sharing! I enjoyed playing although I only managed to get to the 2nd level., haha. I'm glad you found the sprites useful. Cheers!

Hi Brandork, so glad you like the characters! To answer your question: they're the same size as the original sprites. I tried to make these characters as fully compatible to Dungeon II as possible so they have the same animations and color palette too :)

You're welcome! I'm glad you found them useful. Best of luck with your game :D

Hey man, so glad you like the characters :D To answer your question: no I don't have any videos or tutorials. I really only do pixel art for fun and for my personal projects so I'm really not any kind of expert on the subject.

Sorry I couldn't be more helpful, however, I'd be more then happy to drop you some links to some resources that I've found very helpful when making pixel art, just let me know if that would be useful to you.

Cheers!

Glad you like them, Thanks for sharing, I'm looking forward to playing :D

Thank you! Yes it is, feel free to use it however you like :)

Sorry for the late reply, best of luck! I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with :)

Of course you can! but please post a link or pic here when you do, i'd love to see what you do with them :)

Hey :)

Just added the zip file for you. Please enjoy!

Cheers!

Thanks, I'm glad you like it :)

Thank you for sharing! I really loved the game, you did an amazing job!
some of the levels were really hard! i had so skip over one or two in the forest, haha , but i got as far as the city and unlocked the beefy dude.

I had great fun playing and i'm glad you found my art useful!

Cheers :D

de nada! Estou feliz que você gostou :)

You're welcome! Enjoy :)

No problem :)

Thank you!

Cc0 stands for Creative Commons Zero, I can't remember the exact details but it basically means that you can do whatever you like with these assets, you don't even have to give credit :)

the only requirements from my side is you don't try sell these assets on another site or claim them as your own, other then that feel free to do as you wish :D

hope this helps, enjoy ^^

Amazing! I played again and it already feels so much better

Great job and keep up the good work :D

Hey

So I played the game for a good half hour and this game has a lot of potential! There was a lot things I really liked and some things I think could be improved, I did keep in mind that this is still a demo and I only managed to get to the first boss, so here it goes.

Things I like:

  • the game reminds me a lot of Enter the Gungeon and Nuclear Throne and I love both of those games so this is really cool.
  • the pixel art style is great
  • I really like the tentacle mechanic, I don’t know why, perhaps because it's unique and different from most other top-down-shooter games
  • I liked the grab and throw ability even more then the tentacle, I would play still play the game even if there was only the grab
  • the atmosphere was pretty good too

things that could be improved:

  • the cool-down on the grab was quite annoying especially when I missed a grab I still had to wait for the ability to recharge.
  • I think that the that the player should be able to throw with the left mouse button, it just feels more natural to be able throw with the left mouse button since you can't use the tentacle while grabbing an enemy (this is just my personal preference)
  • the game felt a little slow to me, perhaps it could be speeded up a bit

All in all I think this is a solid demo and this game has a lot of potential and with a little polish to the art and some tweaks it could be very successful, wishing you the best of luck and I look forward to future updates :)

Looks very fun! Currently downloading and I'm looking forward to playing.

I'll be sure to share my thoughts once I've given it a go :)

Hey!

Thanks for sharing and well done for finishing your game. I finished it and saved the doggo :)

The fast enemies gave me a hard time, haha!

Thank you! I'm glad you like it :D

Thanks man, appreciate it :)

You're Welcome! :)

Absolutely! I didn't put out a devlog or update the page but if you want the animated version you need to download the "Fantasy RPG NPCs - Individual Frames.rar" file, it should contain all the animations as individual sprites. Enjoy! :)

Thanks! I really appreciate it :)

Hey man

Just wanted to let you know that the animated characters are now available for download

hope you like the animations and thanks again!

Hey! Thanks, glad you like the art!

Apologies for the late reply but I wanted to let you know that the sprites can be used in top down projects.

here are some examples of the same/similar art style in top down games

as for animation, it is high on my to do list so if you liked the art and think that it would suit your game, it is entirely possible to use these sprites in a top down game

Wishing you an happy new year and good luck with your game!

Cheers :D
