This game uses Game Maker 8.2, a mod of 8.1. All versions before GMS1 (GameMaker Studio 1) can only export to Windows. None of the team has enough knowledge on GMS2 (GameMaker Studio 2, now known as GameMaker.) to remake the entire engine in GMS2, which means performance issues could pop up because of incompatibility with newer hardware, but it means people who could play the older versions will be able to play the newer versions. If you want to try to get it working use an Windows emulator for Android. Not Exagear though, it's not as good as people make it out to be. Mac and Linux have Wine thankfully to run this game.

There's a bug that I got where after exiting one of the corridors before one of the upgrades (I didn't have missiles so I couldn't unlock the door) I paused to check the map then when I unpaused the game crashed

Yes, it's made in GameMaker: Studio actually. How do I know? There's a data.win file, only GameMaker: Studio Series games/apps use that.
