Hi! I am not the lead technical artist on this project, but I can give insight. I find using tutorials and whatnot very helpful when it comes to coding. I started off making simple games in Python a long time ago (like rock, paper, scissors), and moved up to engines like unity as time went on. People like Brackeys are very useful for coding tutorials with a focus on game dev and unity.
I love the gameplay and concept! The controls are very fast and responsive. The soundtrack is great too! I didn't fully realize what the buttons were doing at first, as nothing was happening, but when the screen was starting to shake, I realized that the buttons would stop that. It makes the gameplay similar to a puzzle where I would have to plan out my moves.
My only negative would be the control scheme. I was very stuck and confused at first because I was trying to use WASD to move. It took some experimenting to learn that I was meant to use ESDF.
