Hi everyone!

I've been working on Harborde, a game that combines survivors roguelite action with base-building and resource management. It's currently in early development, and I’d love to hear your thoughts on how it feels so far!

What’s in the Current Build?

In this early version, you can:

  • Fight waves of enemies and upgrade your stats.
  • Build and grow your settlement from scratch.
  • Plant crops and gather resources to sustain your settlement.
  • Craft tools, weapons, and buildings to expand your capabilities.
  • Unlock new skills, equipment, and characters.

Do you think it’s the platform boosting horror games, or more of a community thing? I feel like it might be because there are lots of small streamers and YouTubers on Itch. and horror games are great for reactions and tension, so they’re perfect for streaming. Maybe that’s why they get more attention?

Hey everyone!

I’ve been releasing games on Itch.io for a while now, spanning different genres. Based on my analytics, I’ve noticed that my horror games tend to get significantly more attention than my other projects.

I’m trying to figure out if this is just a “me” thing (like maybe I’m better at making  horror games) or if this reflects something about the Itch.io community as a whole.

Do you all feel the same way? Have your horror games performed better than other genres?  Would love to hear your experiences and thoughts!

Thanks in advance for any insights!

Very nice game! but the anvil is a scam :D

Thank you so much for the offer. Your music is truly excellent and shows great talent! But, we already have someone working on the music design for this project.

Thank you for checking out Harborde! Your feedback means a lot and will help improve the game!

One good thing is that your progress will not be deleted, even after the Steam release.

If you’d like to help with development and provide feedback, I recommend joining our Discord server. There, we have a hidden channel exclusively for people like you who enjoy contributing. You’ll also receive an extra role as a Contributor, and all contributors will be acknowledged on the credits page when the game is released on Steam.

Thank you so much!

Great feedback. That was what I'm looking for. Thank you!

The game is packaged probably in development build. The issue:  texture streaming pool means that the game needs to allow the usage on VRAM more. But apparently it is currently a capped. If you find a way to open the console try to write the console command r.Streaming.PoolSize 'VRAM'  I guess the game allows max 1000mb VRAM try to write  r.Streaming.PoolSize 2000 and this should fix the issue. (it's not a big issue, you will only see some textures blurry and might some performance issues if you can't open the console and increase the streaming pool)

Thank you!

All good :D I should highlight it better so no one misses it. But thank you for playing.

Thank you! The video was also great!

Thank you! Had fun watching it :D

Thank you!

Thank you!

I'm glad you liked it!

Thank you for the feedback! Actually, I moved the lever closer to the gate with yesterdays update :D

Thank you for playing it!

Thank you!

Much love <3

That's not a bug; it's a work in progress. The plan for the green objects is to serve as guides for finding the path and to display objects from the past, while the white objects are interactive and represent objectives. However, this design might be confusing for some players, so I'm considering ways to make it more intuitive.

Thank you! Would you mind if I use your video as a gameplay for this page?

I'm glad you enjoyed it!

The shooting-to-move concept is interesting, providing a different twist to the gameplay. The game's design is neat, and the 8-bit style gives it a classic feel. Looking forward to seeing how the prototype evolves. Keep up the work.

Hey everyone! 👋 Excited to share my game, Mia's Hunt, with you. Looking for your thoughts on a couple of things:

  1.  Rex the Dog: How's Rex doing? Share your experiences and any ideas on how we can make his role even better.
  2. Combat and Dismemberment: Jump into the combat scenes. What do you love, and where can we polish things up?

Drop your feedback, and let's chat. Cheers for taking the time!

Hey Mia! Looks like the game devs were psychic or just huge fans of cool names like yours! Enjoy the game! 😄
