I'd recommend adding an exception (or exclusions) if you can instead. This is a problem that can happen with any game that's not code signed. (Also, if you are rocking Windows Defender/Security, you'll have to allow the threat and possibly redownload the game)

They recently moved over to the client Riot if I recall. I haven't gotten the chance to sign up to it yet and it's unfortunate that they haven't updated anything on the page yet to point towards there.
