At best, it’s a very poorly chosen wording on his part, and I don’t understand why you feel the need to pretend otherwise. It doesn’t mean he’s entirely wrong about the whole situation, but what do you think the average gay person would feel when they visit his Twitter account and see this pinned tweet? I just don’t understand why alienate some gamers who might otherwise play this game and have nothing to do with the controversy.

Perhaps straight people don’t notice it because these things are so natural and obvious to them, but for me, having a gay character just makes the game far more interesting. I feel like I can relate to it more, even if it sounds silly for a simple 2D game. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that.
