Thanks for the feedback! The code for the movement is just a lot of if statements, mostly checking the grid. Just the movement code itself takes up 94 lines out of a total 302. So it really only checks for one or the other. For the screen blinking, I will consider that for what I'm currently making next, which uses the same concept for drawing things to the string. I will just need to figure out how to take a position in the 2d array to update the line in the console.

I love the idea of a classic snake game! I like how it has sounds. Though, the gameplay felt really slow compared to other modern snake games, but that could be because of the slower refresh rate, or me playing it at midnight lmao. The menu does break a tiny bit when you choose your color. It's also nice that the screen doesn't blink a lot like mine does xd. Solid game.
Very good, I could see someone playing this in the ol' DOS days. I could not play it, as the bottom option menu was out of view, even with the window maximized. My monitor resolution is 1600x900, which is more wide than tall so that could be a problem. Because of this, I could not really play. But going by the instructions, it looks like it could be a fun game. :)
I really like the idea but I didn't really understand the controls. All I really knew to do was use the left and right arrow key. I see in the screenshots that the player is not always on the ground, so I'm assuming that you can climb? Also the screen refreshing is a problem and the delay on the controls is really distracting. Overall, I say a 4/5 :)
