Hi hi! Thanks heaps for the encouraging message, and feedback on performance. Glad to hear you have found that the new version is running better on your side!
Cool to hear that you like how the game looks with visual settings dialed down - we totally agree on this side. Gives the whole thing more of a picture book vibe right?
Thanks again for the support - this kinda thing means so much to us!

Hi! Sorry to hear you're suffering with poor performance on your side.
We've not been focusing on optimization yet - this is only something we'll only really get into once we're preparing to launch the actual game. Before it's officially released, we'll obviously be putting a lot of effort into QA, and making sure the game runs as smoothly as possible for the widest group of players, but for now we're much more in the initial creative phase of seeing where we can take this thing.
Sorry again that you're stuggling to run the game smoothly. Something you can try is lowering the resolution and disabling ambient occlusion.
Hope that helps, and thank you for keeping Shroom and Gloom on your radar!
It's January 9th 2025 and this game hasn't been abandoned, but development is ticking along very slowly.
We're long overdue to put out some kind of dev log or update on Wrestling With Emotions 2. Unfortunately the situation is rather sad, and we don't really like needing to share sad news.
The TL:DR is that our publisher run into financial difficulties and had to stop funding all their unreleased projects, including WWE2. This put us in a very difficult situation. We desperately wanted to finish the game and release it, but had lost our funding and publishing support to do that. We didn't want to rush out a game that we weren't happy with. We also didn't know how we were going to keep Team Lazerbeam going without that support.
The good news is that we were able to get a lot of interest in one of our other titles, Shroom and Gloom. This meant we could not only keep our doors open, but our full time team has been able to grow. And for the first time in 10 years of making games together, a Team Lazerbeam title has broken out of the alternative, punk game space and captured the interest of the wider indie game community. We're super grateful for everything, but it does mean WWE2 is currently very much on the back burner.
We're totally committed to bringing this beautiful game to people when the stars align, although we have no idea when that might be.
Thanks for checking in, and for your interest in Wrestling With Emotions 2. Hope you'll love the final game when it's eventually launches.
Thanks for checking in. Great to hear you're enjoying the game.
Confirming that we are well aware that the resurrection on Lazarus is currently very underwhelming and unclear. We're currently working on improving higher priority aspects of the game, but Lazarus will totally get some love when the time is right!
