Thanks for your reply. I forgot to respond to it.  By playing around a bit I was able to move past where I was stuck and then enjoyed the rest of the game play. I especially liked the endings and the world-building. Good stuff.

Is this linnear or rpg style?

I loved playing this game for about an hour; however, I must be stupid because I seem to be the only commenter to have found the game difficult! It has great atmosphere and music and animations. I just dont know what the heck Im doing other than bothering about lol.

I really want to like this game but the chase sequences are just too difficult.  Maybe you could have a small head start whenever R enters a new room or something?  John always starts right at the entrance of any room.  Also, the doorways are so narrow that they are easy to miss with arrow controls and there is no time to correct.  

I want to finish this game but those chases are punishing.

WTF How did I only gt 13 points on my first play through?  This captain plays hard to get!

Maybe a dumb question but do I have to download a the new version of this game and just forget about the older version?  If I play it through the itch app I guess it updates more smoothly but I downloaded the game to Windows.

I have this game on itchio so does that mean it updates automatically?

So I finished my first play-through yesterday.  It was fun but I didn't get much of an ending.  I didn't even see two of the backgrounds from the images on this page.  I'm looking forward to trying some different paths next time!
