Thanks!! What were you confused by if you dont mind me asking?

Thanks! Press space or w to jump and shift to dash. Also the web version is very buggy sodownload one of the executables.

Really cool game. I loved the intro cutscene/dialogue, very funny.

I have a few critiques though:

-The randomly generated levels can be quite buggy and soft-locking very common.

-The enemies bouncing around is a cool/unique concept but the enemies are a little too fast

Otherwise, awesome game.

I dont use godot but these might help--->

This explains the concept:

And these tutorials shows exactly how to do it:

Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it. I didn't know about this bug. It should be fixed by the next update.

Thanks! The browser version is quite laggy as the engine im using isnt meant for browser games. I used the love2d game engine https://love2d.org/

Thanks!!

Heya! Thanks man! Means a lot to me. I got a lot of ideas from you and other people and I'm really proud of how they came out.

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!!

Thanks!!

Thanks! The the visuals in your game are really cool too.

Insane concept. I love how you interpreted the theme.

Cute game!! Loved the art style and aesthetic. The cherry blossoms were gorgeous!

Critiques:

-like the other guy said, add clouds. Theyd make the game look a little better. GO to craftpix. Thats were i got my background for my game for this jam.

-The camera could be smoother. It kinda strained my eyes as the camera instantly went from 0 to 100. There are tutorials for this on youtube. Its not too hard to ipleent

-the controls can be polished just a little more

-checkpoints would be an excellent addition! (i died so much lol)

Thanks. I just checked out your game. We have similar themes lol.

I'll let the team know! Thanks!!!!!

I'm glad you enjoyed it!!!!

I just updated the windows version. See if it works.

which platform are you using? Everything seems ok on my side...

Thanks. I'm glad you enjoyed it!

I would like to know your thoughts on this:

Hi! Just replayed the game. I spent more time and got used to the UI. The tutorial was a nice addition. I guess i just found it overwhelming since it was my first time with a strategy game ever lol.
Regarding the ending - I just felt that its weird that the game tells us that we thought nothing went wrong when we saw our base blow up. A better approach would be to say something like :"Nothing could go wrong. But it did...Mission failed" This is a minor thing so dont worry too much.
regarding :"What did you want to call The Resistance Base/HQ?"

Exactly that. Call it "The Resistance's HQ" or something along the lines of that. It just doesnt look like a city becuase of the islands and lack of buildings.

Again. thank you for the feedback, im working on an update as of writing.

Glad you enjoyed it!! Thanks for the feedback. Im adding a couple of powerups including something like that. I might add the enemy in the later on.

Thanks so much!!

Thanks for playing. Glad you enjoyed it!!! I plan on adding that after adding power-up options. Thanks for the feedback!!!

Thanks so much. I wasnt expecting all this lol.  Im glad you enjoyed it.

1. I have been thinking of adding a powerup option every "x" ghosts collected,

2. The text thing is very cool and ill definitely add that

3. Ill add some sort of limited powerup option to clear ghosts (its the easiest)

4. I might add the growth powerup (i feel like its a bit cheap lol)

I just came from playing your game.  Keep in mind, I dont really play any strategy games at all.

Positives:

-the art style and aesthetic is amazing (I love low poly stuff)

-The voice acting was really cool

-The premise is really cool

-The setting is really cool but i feel like it should be called The Resistance base/HQ instead
-I feel like the UI needs some polishing to make it easier for the player to know whats going on(again i dont play these types of games so forgive me if i didnt understand something). I didnt know where to look.
-A linux and mac port would be great (im on linux lol)
-Although the premise is really good, I found the execution of it not as good - The ending could be rephrased into being "You worked so hard to stop anything from going wrong. In the end  it didnt matter..." or something like that.-A little UI companion explaining how to fight against the aliens would make the game feel a lot more welcoming.

Anyway thanks for the feedback . Your game was a banger!

Any ideas for finishing touches?: https://the-icy-programmer.itch.io/grim-hours-v1
