ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS GAME! Hoping to see a second series on Fears To Fathom in the future man :)

I thought the same thing too. The reality is that the game just automatically starts up at 0 volume when you try to download it. You can control the volume with either plus (+) or minus (-) once you open up the game. It said in the description on this page. Also anytime you reopen the game, you have to decrease the volume and then increase it because it starts with no sound every time you open it.
Loved this game Jordan. I realized how story-driven this game was compared to your previous games. The storytelling about the main character being so fixated on solving this case, and how the crowkiller served as a metaphorical symbol of our obsession; and the tragic death of our son as well as the heartwarming ending with our wife, all of that made up for an amazing game. Glad I was able to play one of your games for the third time now :)
And once again Jordan you have created a masterpiece with this game. There is something special about your horror games compared to others. The reason why your games stand out to me is because of the brilliant storytelling and the way that you use indirect foreshadowing in order to connect the entire story as a whole once the plot twist is revealed. I have made 322 videos on my channel, and out of all of them, this game is my second favorite video that I've ever made while your previous game "The Shopping List" still remains as my number one even after several months of uploading and playing other games.
The ending of this game really got to me. I don't know if this is what you were truly trying to do but this is what I interpreted based on what I saw: All of the people that were trapped in the video game had been missing for several years, and due to the misery that they've suffered from the entity as well as how much time had passed, they unfortunately developed certain disorders/problems due to the pain that they suffered from. The name of the levels when we had to save the souls is what made that obvious for me: Despair, Dementia, Depression, Grandsons Safe Zone (which would be a sense of belonging). Each of these characters embodied those underlying themes.
Due to Barney spending 10 years trapped in the video game, he had lost all hope that he would ever return home, thus succumbing to his despair.
Carlos had already appeared to have been an old man who was trapped in the game for several years as well. The development of his dementia is due to him relieving the same torture from the entity for all this time, recreating the same memories over and over again. It eventually interfered with the positive memories that he had in order to subconsciously cope with the fact that this is where he will now stay forever.
Dave Owens eventually started to suffer from depression because of all the misery and suffering that he had endured from the entity for so many years. His spirit was broken because he had accepted that he would never be able to go back home, the place that made him happy.
And Leo suffered from not having any sense of belonging; hence the name of the level "Grandson's safe zone." A person's safe zone is where they feel they are belonged. Hence the reason why Leo asked Evan "Did anyone even remember me after I disappeared?" Leo was unsure if he still had a sense of belonging within the hearts of the people that were close to him after all these years of him missing. He felt lost, isolated, and lonely.
These four underlying themes that you conveyed within your game and the way that you had your characters embody them was PHENOMENAL. While The Shopping List is still my favorite game that I've played on my channel so far, there is none that has ever had a better ending than Broken Through. If you want you can skip to the ending of my video roughly at around 23:59. I used very heartwarming background music at the end cause I felt like it would fit with the ending.
You will make it big one day Jordan. Trust me when I tell you this. Don't ever give up. If I'm being completely honest, you make Puppet Combo look like they're overrated.
I remember playing your game After School back in February and that game traumatized me, and now you went ahead and gave me even more trauma from this game as well -_-
No but in all seriousness, I absolutely loved this game, and the overall concept is terrifying as well. Being alone in the woods and you're checking the cameras for suspicious activity is truly a bone-chilling thought. I'll be playing playing Filled With Freedom and Hotel Grundow to traumatize myself even further XD
I know I'm extremely late to the party... BUT THIS GAME IS WITHOUT A DOUBT ONE OF THE MOST HARDEST GAMES I'VE EVER PLAYED. THE AMOUNT OF F#@!ING ADRENALINE THAT I GOT FROM THIS GAME IS UNLIKE ANY OTHER.
Seriously man, your game is a literal masterpiece. I made a video on it just today and you had me SCREAMING.
I have made a total of 267 videos on my channel. Out of all the videos that I have made, this is by far the best video I've made and the best game that I've ever played on my channel. Everything from the retro style, the sheer terror, and the BRILLIANT story. You've absolutely earned a follow from me, and I can't wait to see what other masterpieces you make in the future my friend. :)
I started playing your game last month. It took me 3 videos to finally beat the game, but once I did, I screamed SO LOUD. This is probably the hardest game that I've ever played in my life (even more than Geometry Dash), and if you plan on making any other games in the future I'll absolutely play it. This was a real blast :)
