I must say that this is a really amazing game!

I'll try to avoid spoilers with what needs to be added:

  • After reading the same dialogue multiple times, I think the ability to skip dialogue will make finding the other endings for easier.
  • Make the path a bit more "clearer" to follow

But then again, it's still great nonetheless!

There's nothing else I could say so Great Job!

This is a very nice proof of concept. I reckon that this would make a detective/crime investigation type of game. It really fits the prompt really well and fighting against a liar's tactics with the power of truth was really fun.

I managed to render the opponent's health bar down in about 10-11 turns with a chunk of health remaining. But the game seems to continue on with the opponent  starting his attack even after the game was over.

This then caused the win screen to change Player 1 Wins into Player 2 Wins.

There's a lot to improve upon this game but mostly needs:

  • A massive graphical overhaul;

Command prompts are a little hard to read.

Some attacks have animations while others don't.

It's mostly just two non-moving stick-figures on a warm pastel purple backdrop (which is understandable with the amount of time you had to make it.).

  • Sound effects and Music

Some other things you can add:

  • More commands to equip and use
  • Possible ways to play as a liar character

Overall, you got a really great and simple idea that is willing to become an even greater game.

Congrats on finishing your game on time.

This game really is fast paced! What spices up the game is how it limits the usage of paths that would be spammed if left unchecked. I can only go up around the 100 point mark.

If there can be anything to build more upon or if you had more time on this project:

  • A simple tutorial; on screen prompt of the controls and how they work
  • Add in more obstacles to gradually increase difficulty
  • Items/Upgrades that can benefit the player

(This one is extremely optional)

  • Make the red man the final boss in a way

In conclusion:

This is a really fun and simple game! Really fits the prompt and is executed in a very nice way.

I do believe that I may never complete my game on time. I'm still working on the player character and nothing else is done.

Even if the jam is over, I'm still going to work on it and learn even more stuff on how to make things on Unity.

Thank you Noa, Brackeys, and the others for hosting this jam.

I've learned so much from this week and I wish all those still working the best of luck.

I'm on the same boat as well.

I've gotten down on a simple idea, followed many different tutorials on YouTube and ended up with big mess on my Unity Hub. Still working on the melee attack of my character and I only have a single plane as a level.

I want to say that this week has been a giant learning experience for me. It takes a lot of effort to complete a game and I must appreciate all those who worked really hard in this Game Jam.

If there will be another CGJ in future, I will keep practicing in making games and seek out any teams that can offer help.

Like many other would say, this is just for fun and it's best to look at the bright side of things.
