I mean if you really want to wait, it'll probably be awhile. You can buy 2.0 right now and get its price discounted when you upgrade, just like he does for the 2.0 standard to deluxe upgrade. Deluxe costs $40 but when you upgrade it only costs $20.

Hey all- solo dev here, gonna be using devtober to get started on a new project and just thought I'd make a post here in case anyone was interested in teaming up. I'm an experienced software developer but could definitely use help in the more artsy areas. The current idea I’m running with is a sort of dark humor focused daycare management sim, where you and your friends play as like daycare managers who have to successfully care for a horde of children. Things start off innocently enough but then you start realizing what troubles the kids can get into exactly which can range from easy enough to take care of to you walk outside and find a corpse in the road. Style and theme wise you can maybe think of the kindergarten games mixed with the gameplay of something like overcrowd. There's a lot of good gameplay loops I can see and have a lot of neat feature ideas such as twitch integration.
