The story was supposed to be that u, the player, was on a quest to save the world from an evil demon, and at the beginning ur friends appear to u, but they give u tips that actually r false. At the end, after you've slain the demon king, ur friends were supposed to kill u, and at that moment the demon king turns into a human, and the hero becomes a monster... and kills his friends (basically, the hero was really the demon, he was trapped inside his human body by the king, but if he died he would not become his true form again. But since he killed the king, he could be released from his body if he were killed. He actually knew his "friends" would betray him, all part of his plan to rule the world. As for the king kidnapping the friends, well, that was because they actually slaughtered the entire population of the country. They didn't realize u were a demon, so they lied to u so u could destroy the king for them, so they could rule the world together. So basically, the lie was that u thought u were the hero, but ur actually the bad guy. and ur friends are actually bad, too. But u r worse. So, sadly that shockingly bad storyline wasn't used because Unity acted up so much on the last day that i had to remove most of the game. U were supposed to be able to go to a castle scene after the 3D Mountain place, and there was 2 pixelated scenes, the beginning, and the end boss. And a cutscene. But, i managed to get a cheap menu, an awesome basic capsule, and a big terrain (castle, water, lava, border mountains and bridges were all my own modelling. The character in the thumbnail was the Hero, but his model didn't import correctly :( Anyway, I decided I might as well upload the game, just so I can say I took part in the jam. For my first jam, it's okay, but it could've -obviously- gone so much better.
