I decided to use a mobile app for my tower game, but used physical dice and cards. It worked out well enough.  Actually, maybe it made it more harrowing since I didn't have the tactile feel of sliding out each piece of the tower? I felt a lot less in control than I thought I would.

My pilot was Ilaya Sarakris, callsign Chirpy. Because she liked pressing buttons to make noises. She grew up in the Ireland DMZ with her best friend Ollie. Shortly after the Eiducan Oligarchy declared independence, the two joined the Federation together, but soon enough Chirpy would be the only one of the two seeing the near end of the war. The poor girl almost broke after finding his journal, and discovering that he wanted to confess to her back in Berlin. But the city being a crater sort of killed that idea.

After Ollie's death Chirpy drew into more and more of herself and her CHVLR, Argo Unit-03. Or Arthree as she called it. She often went into berserk fits of rage, even losing control of her suit a few times. The strain on her SNS caused her to lose the use of one leg, and left her numb in the rest of her body.

The only remaining proof that she ever existed that remains after the war are two brief videos. The first is a small, soundless recording Chirpy took of herself playing alone on a beach in Kanagawa Japan. She keeps playing with the sand with the toes of her good leg, and drawing things with her cane. Despite her allies avoiding her, she looks like she's happy. It is dated the day before an Eiducan chemical bomb turned all of Japan's sea water red with a toxic chemical weapon.

The other video is a panicked recording of a pilot screaming his head off. His mech's camera watching as even as a colony is falling atop of them, the now monstrously warped Unit-03 does not stop tearing through the Eiducan Kerbros suits. Argos Unit-03 even howled as it charged one last time towards the camera and the sky goes dark. It is unknown how this footage survived Paris Ground Zero.

Brilliant game, really enjoyed my time with it. It's my first journaling game, and I think I could not have chose better. I can't wait to show my friends my journal after some small edits. Seriously, freakin' powerful experience. Sorry for my rambling as well. But gosh! I loved this game!

I really like this system. I've always been a fan of your work, both the Warhammer 40k and LANCER stuff, since I found it I think around 2018 or later. I recently had a hankering to play a Valkyria Chronicals-esque RPG and Only War sang to me. I found this table, and oh hey what a surprise, good ol' Konigstein wrote it! This helped in my feverish late night regiment creation using ww2 era tech weapons and also laser muskets. Very pog, this has marked the twentieth regiment I've created, thank you very kindly.
