Nice interpretation of the theme. I really like the protagonist model too. The absence of other characters makes it feel quite bleak, and you’re left with a lot of time to consider your mistakes when falling. I mean this in a good way, though: it adds atmosphere and makes it an interesting experience.

You might choose to add some more recognisable landmarks so people are able to keep track of their progress more easily. But maybe that was an intentional decision, as it contributes to the feel of the game.

Great entry!

All open now!

Loved it. The atmosphere is spot on, reminiscent of older games I played in my childhood. The premise pulled me in immediately, and the story arc made me chuckle. The sound effects and music are particularly impressive, and the humour is great; there are also some interesting tricks in there that I haven't seen elsewhere. I don't know if voxel intends to turn this into a full game but I'd buy it for sure.

Hey @MrMasterbit. I recently used a high score server for a game deployed on Itch. It isn't public yet (it's pre-release) but plenty of people have used it and successfully posted scores to my server. I had to set the score server up myself, and then used the Fetch API to post scores there.

IIRC the key part was setting `mode: 'cors'` in the `fetch` config, and using the correct headers on the server: `Access-Control-Allow-Origin` was set to `*` and `Access-Control-Allow-Headers` set to `Origin, X-Requested-With, Content-Type, Accept`.

I just finished playing TCD, and enjoyed all of it. I got a solid few hours of gameplay, but was still left wanting more. I hear there are multiple endings so perhaps I'll go back and find them. There's definitely some replay value there.

The game does a good job of describing its alternate reality, but manages to avoid lots of exposition, and the story is nicely fleshed out during gameplay. The map design is great, making me think hard about where I had to go while not requiring me to retrace my steps much. Often I felt tested, but without being frustrated.

The combat is well-balanced and there are a variety of enemies and weapons. The upgrade system augments the gameplay nicely, without dominating it, and the recycling system is super cool; I wish I got more out of it the first time.

Overall I'm really impressed. Sequel please! :)

One of my all-time favourites! So many SFX :D
