I feel like letting the player roll without losing speed would help a lot in some parts. Only being able to slide sucks since not have enough build up will result in not being able to destroy all of the blocks when you're, let's say, sliding into a tight space with blocks to break. There are also some bits in the molasses level where you're expected to run up to a wall right after losing speed from rolling which makes everything just trickier and forces you to go way back to get enough speed. Also, I watched Vinesauce play it and I assume that he was playing with a shaky d-pad but, the problem he had where he kept super-jumping definitely applies to joystick players too. I played PT with a joystick and would hardly ever mess up like that, so it's something that's definitely worth tweaking. Somehow incorporating dashing into a wall to climb it instantly would be appreciated too.
I find it pretty great so far. The tracks are nice, the artwork's cute and damn is it challenging.
Not that it's a bad thing, Parappa the Rapper 2 had very similar gameplay but was just not very challenging most of the time. I like the extra challenge here.
I can't wait to see how it'll look like in the future, so good luck with the development.
