This is a really cool idea--never seen it before. The last level took a while for me, but it was satisfying to complete.

Pretty polished.

After playing a little more, I discovered the dash mechanic, which adds a lot more strategy to combat. Still, I think the game could have benefited by some mechanic related to the theme. For example, enemies could multiply if left alive too long.

Overall it seems like a complete game, but it's kind of repetitive and I'm not seeing anything new. Enemies get stuck on corners (A* pathfinding or random searching might be better) so you have to hunt them down before more spawn, and they spawn without warning. I wish there had been some indication of when a wave would come or how many enemies were left. Perhaps there could be powerups like double damage that force the player to move around at the risk of taking more damage reaching the item. The game only engaged me for about five minutes, and then an enemy spawned right on top of me and killed me. Perhaps the enemies could come from outside the map so you could see them coming, and then the quantity of enemies could be increased.

I am pretty impressed with the menu and upgrade system, though. That probably took a long time to implement.

The audio and UI were good. I wish there had been some more gameplay to take advantage of this, though, like dodging debris in orbit but having some of the controls fail intermittently.
