Just played a couple rounds of this before I have to go back to teaching tomorrow! I love the back-and-forth concept, which is new to Takuma's Alone system, and the prompts were interesting enough to make something out of them. Great as a brainstormer, but can also easily be a fully fleshed out game if you choose to sit down with it :v) This was my second Solo TTRPG for my one game a month challenge, so thanks for making it!

Just got around to playing this today/tonight/last night/this morning, and what a beautiful remix on Takuma Okada's original. Simple, straight-forward, with evocative descriptions that give enough restraint to be creative without feeling like you're at a loss. I did cheat though -- I wanted to systematically go through each of the rooms, and I was curious about each suit, so I made sure I did at least one of each type... Thank you for making this game! My New Year's Resolution is to play a Solo Game each month and this kind of kicked me off and inspired me to do so.
Just finished playing this with my boyfriend! What a blast!
Some highlights:
- Since it was two of us, he basically served as Co-GM and we talked through each of the events and made sure we understood the rules. Right away I grasped that even though the hunt after the events is temporary, it was necessary to roll one each day if I wanted to tear down the beast before I got tore down.
- Part of that was because we have a smaller (mini) jenga tower, and also had less tokens (7 instead of 10). Even though I won, it was hard-fought!
- We listened to the entire Ghost Quartet soundtrack, which was very on cue. Screaming happened while I was trying to pull blocks
Thank you for making this game! I've been wanting to play it for a long time and glad I finally got around to it.
Thank you for the community copies!!! I just skimmed through and this looks amazing. So happy with the food options presented. The setting is very cool, but the way the story works around the characters feels like Midnight Diner...my favorite Netflix show! I'm very excited to try it out. I can't believe I found such a gem! Thank you for making this!
I'm still finishing a playthrough of this game, and am having a lovely time with the prompts. I'll be honest, I (was one of the small portions of the population that) never understood the appeal of rivalries for a long time... so when I picked this up, I was hoping to expand my knowledge, and I did! So thank you!
As for criticism (if you want it!), I do think the most fun I had with this was using the prompts, and the questions at the beginning to flesh out the characters. I did change mine slightly since one character was blind, instead of "visually" attractive I was using "physically" attractive, so I could talk more about how the other character sounded and felt.
I would have liked, either in the setup or in the cards, for there to be more details or prompts about the setting that the characters were in. Even broader details would have made it easier to envision for myself.
Since I'm having too much fun with the prompts -- I love that there are second prompts for if you come around to them a second time -- I haven't had too much interest in the actual end of the game to see whether the characters end up together or not, but perhaps I'll have more to say once I get to that part of the game.
Thank you for building this game, and for reading!
