When you select change color there are three options. Costom color, select from preset, and cancel. Select preset and select default skin.

if you choose to join them they have you go hide a sus backpack. Later theres some sort of chemical leak in the area you put the backpack. Havent got further than that.

not as far as i know, making it a pain in the ass to grind. If you go on a walk after 19 you meet big daddy and can go to his house, maybe at the end of that mini-arc you can get costom parts, but idk.
