Witch Tales is always on our minds, but unfortunately we don't have as much time as we would like. Still we continue working on it. We have finished writing the second story and are doing a big revamp of the first.

At the moment we don't plan to make an exhaustive guide to Chronicles. But, we can provide you with the two key points to get back on the routes.

• At the end of chapter 5, the three main perspectives are offered: Demons, humans, and angels. 
• The second key moment would be found at the end of chapter 10.0 where you will definitely choose your love interest until the end of the game. These options appear as a dialogue and will determine the course of events definitively.

Finally, the best advice we can give you is to make saves at the end of the episode. In the description of the saves, both the route you are on and the selected love interest appear. This will help you know which save you want to play next.

I do not have a Linux operating system and I could not assure you that it is as correct as I would like, but the first thing I would do is download the game not from the app, but from the itch website and then follow the manual installation process (unzip and run from the icon inside the folder). Please let me know if it has helped you or not so I can try to find another solution.

Each chapter will be between 30 to 40 minutes long if you read fast, maybe even less.

The game is divided into 3 routes once you finish chapter 5, where you will choose whether to continue the story with the demons, the humans, or the angels. That is, they are not all played at the same time, and from here on it will follow this order: 

Chapter 1, 2, 3 and 4 > Chapter 5 ( Route choice) > Chapter 6.1 (Demons) or 6.2 (Humans) or 6.3 (Angels). > etc.

If you play in a linear way, that means only a single route (angels, humans or demons) about 7 hours, without being exact.

But if you want to play all the complete routes, about 14. (For this option, we recommend to have a saved game at the end of chapter 5).

The routes are divided into the three different routes once you finish chapter 5, where you get this image to choose which one you want to continue on. From there the demon chapters would be 6.1 (following in 7.1, 8.1... etc) the human chapters would be 6.2 (and 7.2, 8.2...) and the angel chapters would be 6.3 (following in 7.3, 8.3....). And yes, each update corresponds to a different route, alternating the three in the same order. 

So to play all chapters you have to have different savegames (at least 3) from the end of chapter 5.

Thank you for your comment, it was very kind. What I can tell you is that Ariel falls under the 'evil' route. Each alignment has three characters to filter with and Ariel is aligned with the demons. Still, there are several things to keep in mind, being in the demons' point of view is not necessarily being a villain, the morality bar still comes into play and the demons' arc is designed to have its own antagonists and not so much hurting others. What the MC does most of the time in his lineups is deal with the problems of their territories and not so much participate in actions. It is also the most violent lineup and that must be taken into account.

Another thing to keep in mind is that the story endings will depend to some extent on being consistent with the actions you have taken. That is, if you have chosen the demons and your decisions have tried to be 'good', you will end up having a very high morality bar, it will generate distrust in you and it will have negative consequences, given that you are a main piece in the plot.

This explanation may not have resolved your doubts too much, but we encourage you to continue with the demon route, we promise that the MC is not a particularly evil character. On the contrary. The MC is the only one who manages to bring some order to the chaos.

If you are referring to the violent content, the game contains some violent scenes, but if you have reached episode 6 or 7, you have probably already witnessed the tone of them. We are not interested in being vicious in these scenes and we consider the game to be suitable for ages 16 and up.

From what I can see in your second video the patch is not installed. Because if that were the case, the first thing that would appear on the cover as soon as you opened it is the cover of the humans, not the cover of the demons. But to be sure, when you open the extras section and go to the unlockable images in the episode 11 section you will probably only have three unlockable images instead of 6 (in case you have patch 11.1 installed). Otherwise, you may not even have the gallery images of these two episodes.

Taking this into account, you must follow the instructions that appear next to the download. Once you download the patch, you must unzip the folder and dump everything inside said folder into your chronicles game folder (wherever you have it saved). This way your saves will remain in place but the new patch files will be installed.

3. Replace the inside of the old game folder with the inside of the new update.

This will ensure that all your progress remains intact.

I'm quite puzzled. Doesn't even 'continue' appear in the final message instead of 'save'/'exit'? It seems as if the new patch folders have not been installed in your game. Apart from repeating the process with a new download, I don't know if I can help you further, because in my eyes it is as if the new patch simply is not installed.

Ok, if it's not a problem of being on the correct path (humans), nor a reloading problem... Could it be something that went wrong with the patch installation?

Could you download the patch again and install it following the normal instructions for use? I know it may sound redundant but perhaps something happened in the process that caused it to not install correctly.

On another note, could you give us a screenshot of the 'save' tab where all the saves appear?

Hello! We're sorry to hear you're having problems. Try to check the requirements for your pc, I copy them here to make it easier for you: 

Windows

• Version: Windows XP or higher.
• CPU: 2.0 GHz Core 2 Duo

• Graphics: OpenGL 2.0 or DirectX 9.0c

Also try to see if you have enough memory on your computer to be able to save it. We hope it helps, but if not, we will try to help you in any way we can. 

We are sorry to hear that you are having problems. Seeing as you are in a save of the correct route, if you haven't tried it yet, try following these steps:

1. Opening the save as usual.
2. Pressing the letter 'd' - this will refresh the engine, which will read back the programming changes. A console will open at the top, which you can close manually and very easily.
3. By turning the mouse wheel down or pressing 'pg down' on the keyboard to go back a few lines in episode 10, the engine will interpret the changes and route correctly.
4. From here, if you go forward, you should see the usual sign inviting you to continue to the next episode.

If that still doesn't work, the other solution is to resume another save game prior to the end-of-chapter poster. Any saved time from the same human's route will serve. So sorry again for the inconvenience.

We are sorry this happened to you. The only solution we found is to replay from a previous save that belongs to the human route. It may be a save from episode 10 itself (human route) but before the end of the episode poster. We hope it helps you and we are sorry for the inconvenience.  

Please make sure it is the 10 of humans and not angels, because you will not be able to continue from there.

We are finishing the script for patch 11.2

Yes, WT has not been abandoned, but it is true that we are moving VERY slowly with it. An updated and complete demo of the first story is expected to be released on our Patreon and an updated demo with fewer implementations in itch by the end of this year.

As for the following stories. The second story is already over 20k words long. We are very sorry that we cannot go faster with the production of this game.

Yes, but it doesn't have the 'they/them' option, only 'he/him' or 'she/her'. We may include 'they/them' in the future, but at the moment that's quite complicated.

 Neutral is the good way, but that depends what you want.

11.1 is accessed ONLY from chapter 10, from the demon route [6.1>7.1>8.1>9.1>10.0>11.1]. To know if you are on the demon route in chapter 10, just check if when you have to choose between three of the characters to be your main love you have Ariel, Zihel and Pin, if not and you get any other character, you are not on the demon route. You can go back to a previous save where you specified being at any x.1, put this information in the saves.

Also remember that there is no patch for humans (11.2 or higher), nor is there a patch for angels (11.3 or higher). Of course there is nothing after finishing 11.1 either, that will come in future patches.
