Interesting ending here… I ended up trying the “don’t shine the light anywhere bad” method, and was able to escape with 2 hearts!
If you had more time it might be a good idea for each time you enter a room, for the flashlight to go out, and flicker back on once you’ve “entered fully”.
I had to mentally get ready for the kitchen, pointing my flashlight away/up before entering the room. Blind running the kitchen was my introduction to the lose state :)
So I went straight down and found an underwater room but I couldn't get through the airlock. It just kept repeating the cycle with the water level going up and down. Tried triggers and grips on the door but nothing.... Turns out my sub ran outta juice while I was trying to figure out how to get inside the observatory...
Yeah I should've included better indicators. The bed was for sleep, campfires for eating, and water for thirst. But there was no real tutorial because I ran out of time. Thats a gamejam for ya!
