Very fun game, I really enjoyed it.

The game's (as it says above) a murder mystery where you interrogate the witnesses and potential suspects to find out who the true killer is... And while I enjoyed the game as it is, and while I can understand WHY the creator went this direction with the game, I dislike how all you do is stand in the 1 room and sit through dialogue, I would much prefer actually getting to explore the building searching for clues (Like a Clue/Cluedo video game, possibly a mix of this game and Clue) as apposed to sitting around pointing out fallacies in peoples statements...

The game's very clearly inspired by the Ace Attorney games (as others have said) also as others have said there are some (glaring) errors in the English in the game, (as the creator is a non-English speaker this makes sense) so while it's a fun game with a nice mystery it's kinda hard to understand (at least for me) in some parts.

Overall I rather enjoyed the game and would recommend it to anyone who rather enjoys a good murder mystery.

A very fun little game to keep you occupied if you've got time to kill, sure it's not super impressive visually, but the music's good, the combat is solid and after playing through it once. I've got very few negative things to say about it, though at the same time there aren't a lot of positives either, I don't dislike the game in any way, but I can't really say it's my favorite thing to come out of the IGMC, of course this game WAS (as far as I can tell) made by one person (and speaking from experience, making a game by yourself is HARD, let alone doing so within a month and have it come out this solid) so well, if you're reading this then I hope you decide to give this game a chance, you just might like it.

NOTE: I had SOME problems with the game (not sure if only on my end or not) the only real problem I had gameplay wise is that when you're supposed to go to the zombie town and I guess you're supposed to meet up with Rand... I never did, he opened the crypt for me like he was supposed to, he made comments when I beat the gargoyle boss, but he never ACTUALLY joined my party at any point, I think I checked the entire town, but I never saw him, I was also disappointed when Meiji left, right after meeting him (does he join you if you DON'T have the half elf?) other than those two nit picky little things I didn't have any major complaints.

(1 edit)

unfortunately I'm at work and thus can't really test anything, however I did a few quick Google searches and while I didn't find anything about half the screen going black, Rpg Maker games not working on Win 8 isn't ENTIRELY uncommon, so maybe you can search some solutions :/

EDIT: Found this on the Rpg maker forums "This person was having this exact same issue, @Andar said "Most likely a problem with either the browser or your display driver. Please updatew your display driver (MV uses OGL, not DX - so an older OGL library in your display driver can be a problem even if DX-Games work without problems) and test if the same happens if you start the project's index.html directly with Firefox or so." on that post.

But looking back on the post itdoesn't seem it's been resolved.

That's very strange (and worrisome) would you mind posting a screenshot? The game seems to function fine on my end, what version of Windows are you running it on? I'd like to fix this but without the error occurring on my end, and without knowing what you're running it on it's gonna be tough to fix :(

Very fun game! I was terribly disappointed when it ended ;P you all did wonderfully! I've only played through once so I'm a bit curious about  how the ending changes based on your choices  (The only scenes where I saw alternatives didn't in my opinion seem very important to the overall plot) which I suppose just means I'll have to play through again huh? :)

I don't want to spoil anything for those who haven't played through (Which you should hurry up and do right about now ;) so I won't say too much about the ending I saw but I ASSUME it was a "Good" ending (I mean I didn't die and we "caugh-illed" the bad guy) I'd be very interested to see more games starring (or featuring, I'm not picky) Edwin Vayne.

Oh! Before I end my rant, er, review, I wanted to say I really enjoyed the art style, the town was rather fun to explore! (Though I wish I got to beat up some more thugs ;P)

Good job! And good luck!

Oooooohh, use arms to use items, that.... Actually makes a lot of sense, figures I'd have never thought of it then! ;P

I really enjoy the art style, and the character designs, haven't gotten very far (I seem to die a lot) I find having each bodypart it's own... Character(I guess?) is interesting and is a very cool way to make only having one person in your team still FEEL like a full team.

A few problems I had though, Headbutt seems to do nothing but kill me, accuracy (at least early on, as stated before I haven't gotten far yet) is VERY bad I can't seem to hit anything, I wasn't able to use most items outside battle, but the only item it would show IN battle was the potion (I forget what it's called in-game) so after a few fights I wasn't able to use skills anymore (died almost immediately after) and while making it so you only lose if the head dies DOES make things a bit easier... There's no way to PREVENT things from targeting your head (that I've seen)

I don't mean to go on about the negatives, I REALLY enjoy it thus far (despite the... Difficulty) It's a really interesting RPG good job!
