Thanks! Yeah I was heavily inspired by retro games and I wanted to create something authentic, while still adding some newer features

I recently released a small side project called StarWarp. It's a retro/arcade-style side-scroller, where you must fight through multiple levels and beat bosses. Many of the levels also contain a "sublevel", where you fly through a portal and there is a whole secondary level with its own set of enemies that must also be killed to complete the main level.

I worked on it in my spare time for a few months and while it's not going to win any awards I think the gameplay is fun and satisfying. It's been up for almost a month now and I am yet to have a single download, so I would really appreciate it if someone could give it a go and tell me what they think! I'm open to all feedback but my main areas of interest are in bugs and gameplay (Is is enjoyable?).

Battle your way through multiple levels where you will face waves of enemies and a variety of bosses. You must skillfully pilot your ship around the hectic battlefield, making the most of any power-ups that come your way.

Many levels feature warp portals that give gameplay a whole new dimension - Entering one of these brings you to a mirrored level with its own set of enemies, giving you the power to dive in and out as you wreak havoc on your prey!
