Do I have to land at a field or can land anywhere?

What about starting on the ground? ;)

sorry- one last thing. Be able to pick plane from a list for flight. 

thanks for the reply. Found the settings only after entering the plane. Ok. 

Again, great job. 

Suggestions- 

1 allow free flight to shoot, bomb and straf  ships, trains and ground targets without air dogfights. 

2-  flight starting on the ground with mission briefing and then takeoff. Complete mission and then land back at base. Possible? I tried to land and it seemed almost impossible- have not landed safely yet.   would love option to start on the ground. 

3- custom flights where you can set battle parameters and goals ??

where does the game show ver #? Also, cannot locate a settings menu to set the 'sticky grip'- did I miss something obvious?
