Looks awesome but too much screen shake

Enjoyable read

What a nice surprise! Lovely game, plays really well.

This looks very fun and promising. I've always loved the colourful visual style of the init exit games. It simply makes you happy 馃惙

Impressive!!

Now this is music to my ears! :)

C64 port when?

What a wonderful game you have made. I can't find anything to criticize, this is pure joy to play! Feels like xmas, man!

Except for the multicolor title picture (looks converted and not natively made for the C64), the new graphics look simply amazing! You guys rock!

You should consider making an original adventure game with this engine. For C64 this is remarkable!

I have no idea what you're talking about, I just think there are too much AI-generated graphics in indie games these days. So it's refreshing to see human crafted graphics.

Very nice graphics style.

And no AI and Image Converters used. I applaud that! Wish there were more developers with this attitude.

Great work, I really enjoy it. It plays very well. I would like to suggest also a classic tetris mode and sound effects (the music is cool, but after a few minutes it gets tiring :))

Does the latest version also utilize the extra horsepower of the U64?

Hats off to you, Sir! the C128 version plays great, big improvement

Haha. This is a joy to play! Very well made! Could you also add support to move with the cursor keys?

Amazing!! I have not seen such a game for the C64 before. Obviously it's quite taxing for the cpu to do all the calculations, but the game is surprisingly playable. I would love to see a C128 optimized or SCPU compatible version of this one. Great work!

Oldschool feel to this one! I like it!

Fun and addictive!

This was a nice idea for a basic game :)

It's remarkable that everything is contained within a single .prg. Would it been possible to expand certain things (like multi-button support) if you'd opted for multi-load? Cheers.

Perfect! :)

Thank you for your answer. You did a great job making it work with a single button. Takes some practice for sure :)

Just a suggestion: If jump, whip, bomb, rope was assigned to keys, it would be possible to map those keys to different joypad buttons.

Will it work on A500?

Interesting to see such a game run on the C64. Seems like quite a challenge to make this playable, but I like what I see so far.

Hi PaulKo. Can the music be toggled off? I prefer to play with sfx only, especially after several hours of listening to the same music :)

Liking it so far. Plays so smoothly! Very impressive!

I find it a bit difficult to use the rope/bomb.

Could it be possible to configure to use keyboard or multiple buttons (A:jump, B:whip, C:bomb/rope) ?

Phenomeal game!

Another quality C64 title from LC-Games! This is arcade gaming perfection.  Highly recommended!

what a cool remake. i guess the audio must have been ripped from the original? It's cool that you now can move more freely and you don't have the grid restriction of the original.

Amazing aestetic. Love the pixelated cartoon style graphics (But why use generative AI on the cover?). While the game looks sublime, I don't think the music fits the game, and it makes no room for sound effects. Nevertheless I applaud your achievement.

Where can I download the cart version? There is no such file in the download page. I read elsewhere that this version is slightly improved as well.

Thanks for the 1.1 update! Nice to see those small fixes added. I must admit that I also found "Load game" confusing :)

Good luck with the game. Looks promising so far from what I've seen on your youtube

(1 edit)

After loading the game in VICE from D64 or PRG the floppy drive light is flashing red constantly. But after saving the highscore it stops. No errors, just thought I'd mention it.

EDIT: Nevermind, I tried pixelbrei vice settings and I think it was only my config that did it.

Seems this buyers form was only required for EU countries. When using VPN outside EU it was no longer required and the purchase was instant.

I just wanted to buy this but when I have to fill out 30 fields of data to be able to do it this makes me reconsider.

Enjoyable! Especially when I figured out that button drops you down below. In the beginning I was using only the bubble to reach not-connected platforms. Haha.
