Pretty neat, but really easy to softlock. I tried to build a ladder down to the bottom of the map, and didn't have enough resources. my miners made it out fine, but my collectors...

I do really like this, conceptually, however I have two things from the actual WoG games this kinda misses. One is the fact that the building is really bouncy, but it wouldn't be as big of an issue without number two, nodes don't stick to the ground. This was decently important for the original, but a big chunk of puzzles in 2 would be effectively impossible without this. And, if you want, you could even implement a 'stick shear' where the stickiness would deactivate if a big enough force was applied in the opposite direction. Or, only some nodes/types of nodes are sticky.
It is a great idea, the only issue is that it is not simply not bug free, it's effectively a mess in my eyes. The prompt I'm working on also makes no sense, and you effectively get silo'd into doing things because of 'government funding'. If you want something critical, and not just me screaming, I'll say that what made The Stanley Parable, one of your inspirations, do well, is it's freedom of choice. I do not feel I have that here.
