I use my personal chromebook, and since it's more space efficient, I just run the game via the source code from github. You could also use Wine or the Linux version, buuuuut- Wine takes up a lot of Linux space, and I haven't tried running the Linux version itself.

On the discord server, they refer to newborn kittens as potats :)

If you want, you can make your own Bloodclan by just naming your clan Bloodclan!

This is so fun to mess around with-

For those of you who want to play on Chromebooks out there, but doesn't like the web version, I'll just share some things that helped me run the game on Chromebook.

  • Have Linux on your chromebook enabled! This is required, as Linux holds some really powerful tools that you will need in order to actually play this game!
  • Install things like pygame with Linux! Go to the Github page for clangen, and find what is required to run it! A big one is Pygame! Make sure your Pygame, Python and whatever else Clangen requires to run is downloaded and up to date. If you don't know how to download things on Linux on your chromebook, go look it up, I'm not Google, you can do it yourself. The internet will also give you instructions on how to download these things too. It is also recommended to use something to run Clangen too, like IDLE. I think Thonny can probably run it too, idk.
  • Use the Github version of Clangen! More specifically, go to the branch with the latest officially release version on Itch.io. This version uses a .py file instead of a .exe file. .exe files cannot be run on Chromebooks, but .py can, with the help of Linux!
  • To run the .py file, use the command python3 main.py (which is the name of the file).

I dunno what else to put here, but if anyone else also runs clangen on Chromebooks with Linux, you can add some more stuff to my comment here. Also, I'm not a professional coder hackerman or anything like that. I just did all of this coding stuff to run clangen, lol. So uh... yeah.

Also, apparently the Linux versions can work too, but I haven't figured out how to get the Linux version running, oops-

Ma'am/sir/my guy, this is a game about fictional cats in a forest. Not Super Jesus Christ RPG. We don't care about whatever tf is sinful to you. Also, this isn't an airport. You don't need to announce your departure.

Fair enough! Although it would've been interesting, I can understand why those traits wouldn't be added!

I just wanted to ask, since I'm not in the discord yet, are there any plans to add in sphinxes or albinism to the game yet?

I have a bit of a suggestion: a button to randomize the cats you can get when you start a clan, since not everyone is going to like what cats they get at the start, but don't want to make a new clan.

I wish I was able to explain how to get clan-gen running on a chromebook, but I'm not the best at clearly explaining things, so I'm just going to say that the instructions from the original creator of clan-gen, along with Pygame helped massively with this. I can't wait for the new updates!
