This is a funny and clever game. I dig the cynical take on capitalism, the single fenced path you can take, which only leads to work, and I like that there are 8 coins to collect (8 hours in a workday?).
I only played through 1 "day" because its a bit tedious to do more, but that's work for ya.
This is an interesting and fun mechanic. It's frustrating in a way that makes me want to keep trying. I think the game could benefit from the first screen being a bit easier so I could get a taste of satisfaction and want to spend longer trying, but overall I love the controls.
The primary theme we went with was Man vs Machine, which is precisely the story of John Henry! As far as capitalism goes, we felt that a lot of capitalistic ideas support things like the exploitation of (especially black) labor so it still seemed relevant 😄
