I really like this circular seal version I made, but I never found a good place to put it. It's (partial) use at the end doesn't give it enough justice.

Thanks! I'm glad you like it.

The movement system was what started the entire project in the first place — the story sort of just grew out of it like tasty cheese.

In the end, I think the system is too fussy to be released as a tool for other authors to use. It'll need to go through a rework maybe.

Embark on an absurd journey — the quest for a good night's rest. Make friends, have silly encounters,  and fight nightmares of past. Sleep Quest is a 110,000-word dialogue rich text adventure set in an (open-world) tavern.

(Sorry, no plans for mobile support unless I get requests)

Hello!

This is a project I spent every waking moment of my free time for the past several months working on — and told practically no one. Queue my surprise when nobody knows this even exists on release, haha! Apparently I'm supposed to tell people before the game's done :D

It's an open world interactive fiction with lots of neat mechanics and silly details. All the art and animations are either CC materials or were created by yours truly, except for the tavern map itself which was done by Inocyde (license: CC-BY) — though I did extensively redraw this too.

Check it out and let me know what you think!

Features:

  • Open world, freely navigate the tavern to complete objectives and find threads
  • 110,000-word dialogue rich story
  • 100+ independently triggering events
  • Achievement and story tracker
  • Beautiful text embellishments  & animations
  • Scene viewer for replaying unlocked scenes or viewing alternate ones
  • Secrets to unlock

(Forgive the copious amount of edits as I work out how formatting works...)
