2d games are awesome,
pixelart is more accessible to learn than 3d modelling
due to the low barrier of entrance on this site there are many, many 1-man teams and amateur developers, who just can't manage the workload of a 3d game
but as others already have stated, there are 3d games on the site. (the stuff by Siactro [ https://siactro.itch.io ], for example, which I very much enoy) But maybe a filter option for it similar to input devices and all that would be a good idea
pretty neat idea. I like the concept, but it wasn't really scary...
Maybe make the game a lot darker and have the lantern as the main lightsource.
Also, the princess seemed to move quite randomly about the castle, which isn't a problem in it of itself, but losing track of her was more annoying rather than terrifying. Maybe adjust her behavior a bit, let her react to you collecting figurines and heading for your position, and maybe give her a bit more of a cue, more than just the alert sound when she's close, but give the player a way to notice if she's in the area or far away. Maybe that's what the wind sound is for but it played continuously for me.
I also ran into some stuttering, it seems, whenever the princess was close. It made it harder to escape from her or hide in a treasure chest, but not in a good way ;-P
As I said, though, neat idea and I'm going to keep an eye on this to see where this is going!
neat little game... I like your spritework and the level of detail in your map-design. The stealth section was a bit wonky since it was hard to see when you're really hidden. sometimes people saw me even though was standing right in the middle of a bunch of sunflowers. Aside from that part it was very enjoyable.
Since Harvest Moon is one of my favourites, I HAD to try this. It took me a few moments to get what my objective was, but after that, it was hard to put the game away. Love the farming aesthetics and this frantic gameplay loop. It gets really tense as soon as you have to produce more than 7 of a kind ^.^"
