Totaly didn't forget all about what I was doing to play this for way longer than I should've
IT'S TOO ADICTIVE !!
would recommend
From what I've understand, the blue projectiles are the main source of damage and the red projectiles acts like a stun, making it so the enemies can't change lines. I think the concept is great, but I think you should explain in what the projectiles are different to make it more clear; if not in your game, maybe in the description of the itch.io page.
I also found it somewhat hard to land projectiles on the enemies, as you need to shoot 2 to 3 lanes up/down from where they are, in order to predict their movement (or maybe it's just that I'm bad lol). I would maybe add a score where you can see how long you survived to make the game more engaging. Other than that, great game !
I really liked the art and the animations are really well done. This is key to a good bossfight where as if you can't tell what attacks the boss will do, it can lead to a frustrating experience which isn't the case here; the attack telegraphings are really good and gives you time to react. I really liked the music and the sound effects are great as well. The controls are simple, yet the deceleration time make it tricky to get yourself to be close enought to the boss to be able to attack it without getting hit. Simple to understand, a bit harder to master. The option of easy/hard mode makes it enjoyable for more peoples and it fells great when you beat both difficulties. The only think I would maybe complain about is that when the boss goes off screen, it may be hard to tell if he's still coming back rolling, or if he's gonna jump at you. Here again, we have time to react so it's not that much of an issue. Pretty good game in my opinion, I would've loved a longer gameplay, but I understand this is only a 72h jam and I think that's really good for the time given. Well done !
I initially wanted the end to be just a the beginning of the final gauntlet and the hard platforming section was supposed to be an additional challenge, but I scrapped that idea because I didn't have enought time. I sure should have put another checkpoint halfway through, and I will probably do so once the jam's over. Thanks alot for the feedback and for playing the whole game even if the end needed more work, it's well appreciated !
If you go back on the right after collecting the first charm, there's a bridge leading to stairs between the two hills. My apologies for the confusion; I suppose the bridge isn't eye catching enought and just seems like water or void.
Concerning the jump, you must collect 5 of them to unlock the temple, in which you can unlock the jump. I believe I could have made the progression a bit more clear and it could use some more indications.
Thanks for letting me know about the issues, it's always great to get some feedback !
